Wagner Foodservice Freezer

Brown Contracting has completed the construction of a large-scale customized Walk-In Freezer for Wagner Food Service to expand their storage and enhance workflow. The basis of design was Thermal-Rite 5-inch foam rail box system and Heat-Craft twin 54HP roof top condensers and matching high performance evaporator refrigeration system. Brown, Arbutus Refrigeration and The Schmid Wilson Group teamed with Wagner and the Design Team for this complicated design-Build project.
The project included site work, below grade foundation and a retaining wall. The specialized concrete design included state-of-the-art frost heave protection, On-site assembly of a 143x25x24 foot stand-alone weatherproof freezer box, and refrigeration equipment to maintain -10 deg F storage environment. Additional equipment included an insulated overhead door and heated thresholds, a fire sprinkler dry system, and emergency generator backup.
