The Gurnee Golf Performance Center includes a series of enclosed hitting bays that allow year-round practice. Construction of a two-building retail and light industrial campus including complete site work and utilities and soils remediation. One 3,200 SF building uses steel and masonry construction materials for a white box retail space ready for tenants. The other building is a 12,000 SF light industrial space based on a pre-engineered metal building with split-face block facade.

Ground up construction of a class, a retail/office commercial building. It is located in one of Maryland’s premier marina complexes, Herrington Harbour North. The water front influenced design incorporates dramatic exterior detailing.

CCF Education Building

The Education Wing of Chesapeake Christian Fellowship encompassed building a masonry and pre-cast plank classroom level on the first floor and pre-engineered metal building on the second floor as well as extensive site work including a blo-retention pond, parking areas and site work.

QAC DPW Garage and Wash

Queen Anne’s County Department of Public Works expanded their garage facility to include three additional bays, offices, and a new Vehicle Wash Facility. The work entailed two pre-engineered metal buildings, specialized equipment such as an overhead crane and parallelogram lift, as well as substantial structural and site work.

Pallotti High School

Laurel, Maryland

St. Vincent Pallotti High School located in Laurel had a challenge: How to connect their current school to an adjacent newly renovated building. Brown Contracting teamed with the school, board and architect to answer the challenge. Working with the team from preliminary design through construction Brown recently successfully completed this 3 story foyer project. The construction included a steel structure, curtain wall glass, radiant floor heating and a green roof system.

Hemingway’s Restaurant

A renovation and expansion of Hemingway’s Restaurant, a Chesapeake Bay landmark. The total project of 15,000 square feet was completed in 16 weeks, including two complete kitchens, two bars, indoor and outdoor seating, banquet facilities and a high degree of finishes incorporating a nautical theme.

Inside this new marina facility lies the original 1,500 SF restaurant and restroom building. We demolished much of the original structure and built the new addition both up and out to include a new restaurant, bath facilities, offices, and meeting spaces inside and common areas and expanded parking outside.

Maritime Autowash – Edgewater

This state-of-the-art high-styled car wash, complete with exotic materials, was built on a limited site with both steep slopes and a minimum staging area. A major challenge was boring the utilities under a major four-lane highway.

Watergate Village Community Center

Watergate Village Apartments in historical Eastport updated their complex to include an 8,200 square-foot state-of-the-art community facility comprised of new concrete masonry unit construction, standing seam metal roofing, an elegant masonry and wood pergola, and custom metal and wire railings. The community center is equipped with a modern fitness center, business center, meeting rooms, offices and a pool area.
